Itinerary: Flying Singapore Airlines to Copenhagen with coach travel through Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, the Baltic countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and in Scandinavia, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. At the conclusion of the tour, members if they wish may depart later from Copenhagen or from any city in Europe or England serviced by Singapore Airlines for no additional charge.
Highlights: As with all Australian Farmers Tours you will get off the tourist track visiting, sheep, beef, dairying horticultural and cropping properties. The tour has been designed as a business trip, which may qualify as a tax-deductible expense. To this end your tour leader Ted Gretgrix will maintain a detailed daily diary for you to submit with your income tax return. However, it is not all work and no play as the tour also includes leisure and sightseeing to provide a well-rounded itinerary.
Tour Leader: Ted Gretgrix has recently retired after a lifetime of farming in western and central Victoria and over 20 years as executive officer of the Rural Financial Counselling Service. Ted was a tour member of the 2008 Australian Farmers 21-Day China & Inner Mongolia Tour. In 2014 he undertook an 18-Day Australian Farmers Japan Farming Tour and in 2016 he led the highly successful 36 Day Australian Farmers Great Britain & Ireland Farming Tour. Again in 2017 Ted led the 29-Day Australian Farmers tour of Central Europe and in 2019 a China & Inner Mongolia Farming Tour. In 2020 he will be leading the Australian Farmers Travel inaugural Farming Tour of Russia.
Tour Manager and Guide: Jeremy Kolbe is Australian Farmers tour guide resident in France. Jeremy is literally known to hundreds of Australian farmers as over the years he has managed and guided farming tours for Australian Farmers Travel to Central, Eastern and Northern Europe, Germany, France and Great Britain & Ireland.
Tour Cost: As the tour is not until 2021 the indicative cost of this 31-day farming tour flying economy class with Singapore Airlines from either Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth is $14,800 based on sharing a twin room with private facilities in mostly 3 to 4 star hotels, all breakfasts, 12 lunches and 17 dinners with spectacular sightseeing, on-farm and technical visits. The indicative cost also includes porterage, all tipping, carrier charges, airport taxes and fees. The single room supplement is $2,680.
